Throughout 2004 I have returned to taking photographs of dilapidated buildings. I have begun to chart buildings close to home (Stockport) and continue to collect imagery. Whilst in Wales in October 2004 a nearby farm was up for sale and I explored the main farm and outbuildings. As with the derelict building in Dorking, Carrington House and White City Greyhound Stadium I was drawn to how man made forms are being taken over by nature. The contrast between hard-edged man made forms and softer natural elements continue to be the focus of my attention. The exploration of the decay of man made materials also provides strong colouring.
